             abstract = "The Institute for Research and Economic Strategy of Cear{\'a} 
                         (IPECE) has the mission of to formulate guidelines and strategies 
                         to subsidize the government's actions in the framework of public 
                         policies and social and economic development, and is among its 
                         goals the production, analyse and distribuition of Socioeconomic 
                         data and cartographic state of Ceara. In this context, the IPECE 
                         in 2009 developed a Geographic Information System on the Internet 
                         using free software. This system consists of Ceara in Interactive 
                         Maps (http://mapas.ipece.ce.gov.br), with the objective of 
                         providing information to society and support the public managers 
                         in public policy planning and decision making. Specifically, the 
                         system has information related to Satellite images, Orthophotos, 
                         Limits and regionalization, Environment, Water Resources, 
                         transport system, public amenities and private Altimetry and 
                         socioeconomic indicators. Besides providing the system allows the 
                         analysis of georeferenced data aimed at decision-making. As of 
                         Ceara in the Interactive Maps User can add and subtract maps in 
                         the form of layers to be displayed, locate objects and perform 
                         spatial filters through the attributes contained in the geographic 
                         database, perform zooming operations and scaling, thus performing 
                         operations query and analysis through interactive menus system. 
                         Thus, the analysis of indicators is very useful to guide projects, 
                         assisting the development, monitoring and evaluation of public 
                         policies and contributing to the formulation of development 
                         strategies. Through the elaboration of thematic maps interactive 
                         part of the location factor in the analysis of indicators, since 
                         the knowledge and information about the place increase the number 
                         of hits in the making.",
